Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Doughnutted. By signing up or using the app, you're agreeing to them.

What Doughnutted is

Doughnutted is a lightweight, fun tool that gamifies laptop security through a doughnut debt system. It's an independently run project, not a company product, and there's no formal contract between Doughnutted and any employer. If your workplace uses it, that's because someone there chose to sign up, not because of any agreement between us and your employer.

Accounts

• You need a work email address to sign in, using a passwordless magic link.
• You must be at least 18 to use Doughnutted.
• You're responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since that's how sign-in works. If someone else gets into your email, they can get into Doughnutted.
• Don't share your sign-in link with anyone else or use someone else's identity to sign up.

Company owners and team data

Some teams have a designated company owner. If you're the company owner for a team, you can delete all of that team's data from Doughnutted, including other people's accounts, league history, and evidence photos.

This action is immediate and irreversible, and it affects everyone on the team, not just you. There's no undo, no grace period, and no way for us to recover it once it's gone. Only use this if you're sure.

If you're a regular team member, be aware that your data can be deleted this way by your team's owner, separately from your own ability to delete your own data.

Evidence photos

Photos uploaded as delivery evidence should be photos of doughnut boxes, nothing else. Don't upload photos of people, personal documents, or anything unrelated to proving a delivery happened. We may remove photos that don't fit this purpose.

Acceptable use

Don't use Doughnutted to:

• Upload anything illegal, abusive, or that violates someone else's rights.
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with the office network restriction, sign-in system, or any other part of the app.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract data at scale.
• Use the service for anything beyond its intended purpose (a lighthearted internal team tool).

We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.

Availability

Doughnutted is a small, independently run project. There's no uptime guarantee or service level agreement. We'll do our best to keep it running, but things can and occasionally will go wrong, including outages from our hosting, email, or storage providers (Render, Resend, and Cloudflare).

No warranty

Doughnutted is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose beyond what it plainly does.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Doughnutted and its operator aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including data loss from the company owner deletion feature described above. Use of the service is at your own risk.

Changes to the service or these terms

We may change, pause, or discontinue features, or update these terms, at any time. We'll update the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use Doughnutted after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Termination

You can stop using Doughnutted and delete your own data at any time from your Profile page. We may also suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms.
